About The Author

James D. Pitts has over 25 years of experience as a financial services executive. His significant payment services background includes check processing, remittance and lockbox services, ACH (Automated Clearing House), Check 21 and other emerging payment services offered throughout the industry, including automated Internet and telephone payment acceptance systems. His distinguished career has included executive management roles at Electronic Data Systems where he was President of Payment Services and MTech, where he served as vice president, managing data center operations supporting several hundred banking institutions. He’s also held leadership positions at Southwestern Bell/AT&T and Blue Cross / Blue Shield. Jim is a native of Dallas, Texas where he attended Southern Methodist University and graduated in 1977 with a double major in management science and organization behavior.
