This book is different in many ways. The language the book is written in is the language "Me and Chester" speak. "Me and Chester" have yet to encounter other being's like themselves. They are truly alone in their world. As I wrote this book, I kept thinking how would people today survive under the same circumstances? Every step "Me and Chester" take is about being self-sufficient, they only have themselves to rely on.
There are no stores, no towns, no transportation, no video games, televeision or cell phones. Yet "Me and Chester" have a good life with plenty of everything they need and still manage to have something to laugh about. They are philosophical individuals about their life and the world around them. "Me and Chester" are completely different in every way. Me has always been the planner. Chester has always been the one to live on impulse.
On a bright and clear night while looking at the millions of stars overhead, "Me and Chester" realize they might not be alone. Chester is convinced he can see others just like themselves "out there on them stars". This begins the story, "What is further than they can see from where they are at? The adventure begins.
All rules of grammar have been ignored in the writing of "Me and Chester." Once the reader has caught on to the flow of language, the reader becomes part of the duo's quest. "Me and Chester" go on an unbelievable adventure. From seeing new and wondrous sites to holding life and death in their hands, "Me and Chester" is one of those books that bring tears of emotion on one page and tears of laughter on the next.
